Our Story
Sunrise Properties was developed by four women with a combined 40 years of experience servicing rental properties in South County.
After working in bookkeeping and accounting, Kim Churas began her real estate career in 2003. Kim’s daughter, Kara Churas, joined shortly after. Heather Kelley joined the team in 2009 as an intern but soon became a permanent and valued part of the team. Together, they ran a very successful and respected rental department, specializing in vacation rentals, student rentals, and yearly rentals as well as advising buyers on investment potential. Laurie Lineham joined the trio in 2014 as administrator of the rental department. Laurie’s 40 years of experience working in property management was invaluable to the department. This team worked cohesively to grow the rental inventory and set the bar for rental standards in the area, continually researching and implementing ways to add value for renters and generate repeat business for owners.
Many renters returned year after year due to their detail-oriented business model and customer service experience.
