My summer days off revolve around boating with my husband and family/friends. We love to anchor out at various spots in the area and always have our paddle boards with us to expand our adventures. Also, sailing over to Block Island for a weekend is always a great time!
Where is the best place to get a sweet treat?
I'm an ice cream lover, and Brickley's Homemade Ice Cream and Barron's Homemade Ice Cream (formerly Brickley's North) are my favorite! Also, Sweener's Chocolates in Wakefield has a huge array of delicious confections.
Where do you bring out-of-town guests?
We like to bring our out-of-town guests to several different places. A popular spot is Newport to tour the famous mansions, eat at a local restaurant, and browse the many unique shops. Also, taking a stroll through Pier Market Place and the shops there, then walking along the sea wall while watching the surfers navigate the waves. Then, completing our walk at Monahan's Clam Shack for some delicious local seafood.
